Hypnotherapy is a very powerful, effective form of therapy. As we work with the subconscious mind to address the issues presented, it is faster working than many other talking therapies. Using hypnosis to get the client in to a natural relaxed state we are able to work together to address misconceptions of the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy is approved a s form of therapy by the NHS. Hypnotherapy may help to tackle a range of issues and habits including, but not limited to: anxiety, anger, bad habits, building positive relationships, children’s issues, confidence, control issues, exam stress, fussy eating, fears, friendship issues, focus, motivation, overcoming changes in family dynamics, overthinking, Panic attacks, phobias, PTSD, quit smoking, relationships, school difficulties, self-esteem, social anxiety, stress, trauma, weight loss, worry (irrational or persistent), and more.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is natural, focused state of mind. You are not asleep while in hypnosis. After inducing a state of hypnosis a hypnotherapist will lead you into a deeply relaxed state, use your agreed methods to help you towards your goals – for example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit before gradually bring you out of hypnosis.
Can a person be hypnotised against their will, or made to do anything against their will?
No one can be hypnotised against their will. You're fully in control when under hypnosis and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state. Hypnosis doesn't work if you don't want to be hypnotised.
What is the subconscious mind?
The conscious mind, the mind that you are conscious of, is your “me.” The sub-conscious mind is the ‘tape recorder’ playing in the background that directs your conduct through the habits, feelings and emotions. The subconscious mind is always present from the moment we born to the moment we die.
Due to current restrictions around coronavirus I am only working online, following government guidelines and advice. However, I am taking bookings for children and adult face-to-face therapy at my clinic, once this can resume. If you wish to be added to the waiting list, please do get in touch. Thank you to all of my clients, both existing and new that continue to work with me or are waiting for therapy or coaching.
